About the Role:As a Stock Control Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Stock Controller to ensure that material supply aligns with customer demand while accounting for fluctuations in volume. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Raising and processing purchase orders for inventory and non-stock items.Handling orders for items requiring kitting, assembly, or rework.Maintaining and updating field information on SAP using intelligent stock reports.Performing data input as needed to ensure accuracy.Regularly running and updating stock reports to keep the team informed.Collaborating closely with the Stock Controller to identify excessive and non-stock customer requirements.Informing the Stock Controller of any specific supply issues related to customer orders, providing status updates and alternatives.Proactively expediting suppliers on overdue and upcoming purchase orders.Resolving supplier cost variances or reporting them to the Stock Controller for further action.Managing supplier forecasts in collaboration with Project Managers.Preparing and updating reports and summaries related to inventory and purchase receipts.Providing insights on inventory and purchasing matters to aid decision-making.Building and maintaining positive relationships with supplier contacts through excellent verbal communication.

What We're Looking For:To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in SAP, particularly within supply chain functions and its interaction with other modules.Strong IT literacy in Excel and Word.A collaborative team player who enjoys working with others.Computer skills that enable you to train and support others in the team.
