We are seeking a Quality Engineer who will be instrumental in guaranteeing the highest quality standards for our products. This role will require the successful candidate to demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a dedicated approach to ensuring the functionality and durability of our product line.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained
  • Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels, parts per million (PPM) figures
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system, including auditing where appropriate.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements
  • Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA's
  • Liaison with Customer & Supplier representatives to ensure understanding of requirements / issues / standards
  • Customer Liaison and co-ordination of requirements with sales, engineering, manufacturing, logistic, purchasing and accounts
  • Monitoring & ensuring customer complaints are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Perform Audit activities in line with company Audit Timing Plan

Profile

A successful Quality Engineer should have:

  • Knowledge of quality systems and measurement
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval
  • Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Understanding of IATF requirements
  • Understanding of engineering drawings
  • Ability to present data effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • NVQ Level 5 Activities in an Automotive Context over a two year period would be Desirable
