PSi Talent are recruiting for a permanent Warehouse Supervisor to work for our client, a world leading manufacturing business based in Kettering. Our client has seen fantastic growth and success over the past years making this a truly exciting time to join a fast growing sustainable business. This position is overseeing a team and supporting the delivery of the daily operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organisational skills and have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes to effectively manage the warehouse team and drive the team to success.
Salary: £40-£45,000 depending on experience
Hours: 12 hour day shift on a 4 on 4 off basis.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required
- Supervises and coordinates the employees and activities of the warehouse function
- Maintains direct support to all departments
- Facilitates the operation of inbound and outbound shipments of products and materials
- Reviews completed drayage tickets and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy prior to distribution
- Facilitates shipments of finished product and scrap
- Maintains and reports inventory status of finished goods and packaging materials.
- Assists the group sales function in forecast comparisons and with customer inquiries and activities and maintains and seeks resolution of customer complaints
- Coordinates customer releases and orders with outside warehouse and other plants within the group and assists in procuring transportation for customer and warehouse of finished products
- Ensures that all company property is properly maintained
- Maintains good housekeeping in the warehouses and related areas
- Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures for area of responsibility.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook to maintain records and communicate effectively; SAP knowledge would be a huge advantage
- Excellent computer literacy to navigate various warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics management.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to drive improvements in transportation operations.
