Communications and Marketing Specialist

Location: Flexible Hybrid Role - Work From Home (WFH) and Kettering Office

Salary: £19.23 per hour PAYE

Working Hours: 37 hours per week - Office Hours

Duration: 3 months

About the Role:As a Communications and Marketing Specialist, you will manage and deliver both internal and external communication services, including corporate communications, marketing, publications, advertising, promotional campaigns, and cost-effective media solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide corporate advice and implement communication strategies in areas such as campaigns, service marketing, and social media.
  • Lead projects across services, ensuring inventive, cost-effective strategies are delivered within budgets and timelines.
  • Write clear, concise content for multiple platforms, including digital and print media.
  • Manage branding, visual identity, and advertising standards to maintain consistency across campaigns.
  • Support internal communication improvements and provide guidance to senior managers and elected officials.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of communication principles and marketing strategies.
  • Experience in writing communication plans and managing marketing budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Adobe design tools.
  • Experience with digital engagement tools and working in political or public sector environments is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or additional hours during peak periods.
  • Ability to drive with access to a vehicle is preferred.
