Role Overview
An experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer is required to join a fire and security company specializing in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. This role involves working on a variety of commercial and residential sites, ensuring all systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
- Fault finding, troubleshooting, and system repairs to ensure continued operation.
- Carrying out routine inspections and testing in line with industry regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and industry regulations.
- Completing necessary documentation and reports on system performance.
- Working independently or as part of a team on installations and maintenance projects.
- Attending emergency call-outs and providing out-of-hours support when required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
- Understanding of BS5839 and other relevant fire and security standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., FIA, IPAF, ECS, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of major security system brands is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence required.
