Job Title : Decontamination Technician

Location : Kettering

Hourly Rate : 17.00-18.10 per hour

Shift pattern : Saturday and Sunday 8am - 6pm

We are working with a private health care group whom require a Sterile Services Technician to join them on a temporary contract.

- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to established protocols and procedures
- Prepare and package instruments, equipment, and supplies for sterilization
- Monitor and record sterilization cycles, including time, temperature, and pressure
- Inspect instruments and equipment for cleanliness and functionality
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities and inventory levels
- Follow infection control guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper sterilization practices

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician or experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, equipment, and supplies
- Understanding of infection control principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
