We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Voids Surveyor to join a well established council based in the East Midlands, surveying their housing stock. This temporary role involves managing vacant properties to ensure they are safe, secure, and ready for new occupants.

Description

  • Inspecting void properties and assessing required repairs or renovations
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for property refurbishments
  • Working with contractors to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
  • Ensuring all properties meet health and safety regulations
  • Managing a portfolio of properties and keeping accurate records
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organisational goals
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within the Construction department

Profile

A successful Voids Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in Surveying, Construction or a related discipline
  • Experience in property surveying within the Public Sector
  • Sound knowledge of building regulations and health and safety requirements
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work within set budgets
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • The capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
