We are currently recruiting an immediately available Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant for a period of 2-3 months. Reporting into the Managing Director for this owner managed business you will be joining an international organisation with their head office based in Germany
The role will be completing the day-to-day accounts and would suit someone who is happy working in a small team and comfortable working in a standalone account’s role.
- £16.00 per hour
- Full-time 37.5 hours per week OR Part-time 22.5 (3 full days) hours per week
- On-site parking
- This will be an on-site role with the potential to work from home one day a week
- This is a 2-3 month temporary contract
Duties and responsibilities:
- Compilation of payroll for the accountant along with payroll journals and submission of payments to HMRC
- Day-to-day transactional accounting sales ledger and purchase ledger
- Payment runs to both intercompany and 3rd party suppliers
- Multi-currency accounting and reporting
- Reviewing and processing employee expenses and credit card expenses
- ‘Hands-on' approach to assisting other areas of the business as working within a small but growing team
Skills and experience required:
- AAT / QBE
- Previous experience of working in a standalone accounting position within a similar role
- Good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) and accountancy software Dynamics 365 desirable but knowledge of an accountancy software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Enjoys working autonomously
