Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experiencedGeneral Foremanon behalf of athrivingcivil engineering main contractor to work on projects across their Severn Trent region (primarily West Midlands).
This international main contractor are a well-known name in the industry with a strong reputation for quality across all divisions. They are a key delivery partner for Severn Trent Water alongside many other Water clients nationwide. This role falls within their Severn Trent WaterSouth team (mainly delivering projects around West Midlands area.
Several large projects secured within 20 miles of Kidderminster providing good local longevity of several years along with a busy framework of other projectsin Coventry, Leicester etc. Initial 3 projectvalues 10mto 50m+.
Projects: large Waste Water Treatment Works upgrades.
Chemical dosing systems, pumping stations, sludge tanks, bio-filters, storm tanks etc. (All work in a water treatment / sewage treatment works setting covering fullcivils & MEICApackages).
Duties/Responsibilities as General Foreman:
- Assisting Site Agent and Project Managerin delivery of schemes.
- Site setup involvement.
- Daily briefings with staff on site.
- HSE toolbox talks.
- Directing multiple gangs in daily delivery of work.
- Managing sub-contractors.
- Briefing RAMS.
- Ordering materials.
- Involvement with progress reports & meetings.
- Plant checks & permits.
Experience required as General Foreman:
- Must haveexperience asGeneral Foreman on civil engineering schemes for Yorkshire Water / Severn Trent Water or a similar client.
- Must have experience delivering: WwTW, water treatment, RC works, heavy civils, concrete works, flood defenceetc.
- Must hold: CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aidand full driving license.
- Beneficial: Temporary Works, EUSR Water, Appointed Person etc.
Remuneration:
A salary of up to 58,000 (dependant upon experience) plus:
EV/hybridvehicle or allowance, increased fuel expenses, 26 days + stat annual leave, family healthcare, 7.5% pension scheme and other benefits...
