Sonic Summary
- My client, an Engineering company near Kidderminster and Dudley, is seeking to recruit a Group Health & Safety professional on a permanent basis.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry, with a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Key responsibilities include investigating and managing accidents, ensuring site compliance, conducting health and safety audits, and managing contractors.
- The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel between sites.
- The role offers a salary of up to £45,000, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00 and a 13:00 finish on Fridays.
This is a large manufacturing organization so they are ideally looking for someone who comes from a similar background with some experience within Production and and Manufacturing
The main functions of the role include
- Investigation and management of accidents on site
- Ensure site compliance is being adhered to at all times
- Suggest and implement improvements across the different sites
- Conduct H & S audits
- Conduct Group H & S meetings
- Manage contractors on site
- Management of the COSHH register
- Manage induction of new employees
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following
- Experience in a similar role within engineering/manufacturing industry is essential
- Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Able to travel between sites
- Strong Communication Skills with an ability to manage upwards
- Good attention to detail
- Highly Organized
- Strong IT skills
This role is Mon-Thurs 0700-1600 with a 1300 finish on Fridays, the salary is up to £45,000
