Suitable candidates will have experience of electrical maintenance within industrial, production or manufacturing environments.

ResponsibilitiesWorking in a team of motivated Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, the day shifts can be more reactive, responding to breakdowns and line issues, while the night shifts are often more proactive, undertaking PPM, Continuous Improvement and Project Work.Your role will includeThe role is varied and dynamic, so you’ll get the chance to use the wide variety of skills associated with being a maintenance electrician.

Undertaking troubleshooting and providing Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and specialist machinery to ensure everything runs as expected.

In this hands-on role you will be using your problem-solving skills and technical expertise every day and as part of a motivated team, you will play a key part in the efficiency and reliability of the production processes.

Installing and maintaining all electrical & electro-mechanical plant equipment & machinery, attending breakdowns, faulting finding and undertaking repairs

Operating a preventative electrical maintenance system - CMMS

Troubleshooting & diagnosing Siemens PLC’s & other makes of programmable logic controllers

Promoting Lean thinking

Preferred Skills & ExperienceHave completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Electrical Engineering qualifications, beyond just the 18th Edition, at NVQ/C&G Level 3 or higherBe a Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias, with experience of working in a production, manufacturing / factory environment.

You enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on. You will also be flexible in your approach, focusing on the changing priorities through the shift which will enable the factory to continue to run efficiently.

Experience and knowledge of troubleshooting PLCs (programmable logic controllers)

Good diagnostics experience of electrical motors and pneumatics

A strong team player with good communication skills

Enjoy analytical & good problem-solving skills
