The Role:
In this role, you'll support and advise staff at all levels, assisting the Operations Manager in upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and employee welfare.
Health and Safety Advisor Duties:
- Review and update the company's Health and Safety Policy, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Address potential or actual environmental impacts from operations across different business units.
- Assist with accident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and providing guidance on incident reporting.
- Assess third-party suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet our safety standards.
- Ensure all new starters are properly inducted and aware of their SHEQ responsibilities. Deliver toolbox talks to managers and team leaders as needed.
- Maintain ISO accreditation by working towards annual objectives and targets, and ensure all procedures are audited.
- Manage and monitor the Group's waste transfer process.
- Assist with insurance, quality surveillance audits, and any related tasks.
Health and Safety Advisor Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of Company and Health & Safety policies.
- A working knowledge of UK Health and Safety Law and upcoming changes.
- Familiarity with ISO, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- NEBOSH and IOSH certifications are required
