This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the criminal justice system, delivering essential healthcare services to detainees in police custody.

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time (42 hours), part-time contracts are available

About the Role:
As a Forensic Healthcare Professional, youll collaborate closely with police officers to assess, treat, and support individuals in custody. Whether managing detainees with mental health concerns, addressing substance misuse, or conducting forensic examinations, your role will be diverse, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. Youll ensure detainees health and welfare while gathering critical evidence to support the justice process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting clinical assessments and implementing appropriate interventions
  • Collecting forensic samples to assist with investigations
  • Supporting custody officers in evaluating detainees health, fitness for detention, and release
  • Managing a range of cases, from intoxication to complex mental health needs

What Were Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic with post qualification experience
  • Full NMC or HCPC registration
  • A full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for business use
  • Exceptional communication skills and a proactive approach to care
  • UK residency for 3+ years and ability to pass Police Vetting (Level 2 NPPV clearance)
