Pertemps is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a reputable manufacturing company in Kidderminster. This temporary-to-permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a passion for machinery and precision work. The successful candidate will play a key role in assembling, maintaining, and repairing equipment, contributing to a productive and supportive team environment.

The Duties of a Mechanical Fitter:

Assemble, install, and repair mechanical systems and machinery according to specifications.
Inspect machinery to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
Perform maintenance tasks, including adjustments and parts replacements
Utilise hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations.
Work from technical drawings and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly of components.
Maintain and clean equipment regularly to prevent downtime.
Work with the manufacturing team to meet production targets.

The Requirements of a Mechanical Fitter:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics.
Skilled in the use of various hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
