What Youll Need:
- Essential: Skilled in operating conventional machines borers, lathes, and drilling machines having accrued ideally 10+ years in this field
- Experience supervising a machine shop is preferred but not essential training can be provided
- Strong attention to quality, safety, and efficiency
- A proactive and flexible attitude
- Please note that this position has no involvement with CNC machinery
The Role:
- Oversee and support the day-to-day machine shop operations
- Operate and maintain borers, lathes, and drilling machines
- Allocate work to a team of up to 3 other machinists
- Ensure safe working practices and team training
- Suggest and implement improvements to processes and equipment
