A manufacturer of safety-critical components sold to Aerospace and other industries is now seeking a Production Engineer to join their team. Supplying OEMs and First Tier Suppliers globally, this business is experiencing a period of growth. In order to cope with this growth, they are looking to bolster their already large engineering team.

The main objective is to refine processes and manage new capex installations prior to manufacturing volumes being increased threefold.

Production Engineer duties include -

  • Review current processes and existing methods of manufacture.
  • Work on volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure that existing equipment and machinery are kept in good working order.
  • Recommend new equipment when and where necessary.
  • Support with the creation of new manuals and staff training where necessary.
  • Assist with plant layouts to ensure material flow is maximised.
  • Work on production capacity planning and forecasting.
  • Help to drive continuous improvement / kaizen programs on site.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Manufacturing or Production Engineer within the aerospace industry, and have a good working knowledge of relevant tools (PFMEA etc)
