Role: Production Engineer
Location: Kidderminster
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 37hr work week

Wright Staff Recruitment are currently representing a well-structured and growing company, which develops, manufactures, sells, and maintains Heavy Duty Vehicles. Due to this, they are looking for a Production Engineer to be based at their workshop in Kidderminster.

The candidate would be responsible for providing engineering support and information to the Production departments.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Support Production departments with technical drawings using Solidworks/AutoCAD
* Work with Production to improve processes and efficiency
* Use Mechanical Design techniques to stress test components and assemblies using Solidworks
* Create and modify 3D assemblies to meet customer and production needs
* Create and design new parts and solutions to solve build issues
* Support 3rd party manufacturing suppliers with spec and build queries
* Support the Engineering Manager on ongoing and new Projects
* Support the Engineering Manager on product development
* Ensure compliance to industry standards and regulations relating to the products manufactured by the company
* Undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business

Person Specification:

* Mechanical Engineering Qualification(s) is essential
* Minimum 1-year commercial experience
* Working knowledge of Solidworks is essential
* Good organisational skills, time management and administration skills
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and as a team meeting deadlines where needed
* Ability to solve problems and follow projects through to conclusions
* AutoCAD 2D advantageous
* A working understanding of auto-electrics, hydraulics and chassis' would be advantageous

Salary will be discussed depending on experience of the individual.
