We are looking for a Production Engineer who is experienced with delivering Design Specifications, ensuring efficient production flow, creating Material Bills of Materials (MBOMs), optimizing layouts, and designing packaging. Responsibilities also include budget management, continuous process improvement, and ensuring product quality and compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Design, source, and commission production systems that meet delivery schedules and quality requirements within budget.
- Process Optimization: Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean techniques to reduce cycle times, streamline processes, and eliminate waste.
- Equipment Management: Specify, install, and commission new equipment while managing contractor relationships and ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Problem Solving: Quickly react to production issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance and Standards: Drive adherence to Change Management Controls, APQP standards, and EN9100/QMS regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with stakeholders to anticipate market changes, recommend cost-effective solutions, and stay updated on relevant technology.
Qualifications:
- You must have an HND or above in Engineering/Manufacturing, previous experience in Aerospace, Automotive, FMCG, or a similar environment, strong understanding of technical drawings and layouts.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven background in Manufacturing Engineering within an ISO 9001 environment
- Knowledge of APQP processes, including PFMEA, PPAP, Six Sigma, KanBan, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Experience working in a strong health and safety culture
