Production Manager - Kidderminster Area - 40,000-50,000

Production Manager and change advocate required to join a leading manufacturing organisation based near Kidderminster to support the business through the upcoming phases of change and improvement.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will have responsibility to organise, analyse and continually improve performance within the company, managing a team of 20, including 1 Team Leader.

This role would suit someone who has held one of the following job titles; Manufacturing Manager, Works Manager, Shift Manager, Cell Leader, or similar. All successful candidates must be champions of change processes and lead by example. They must also have strong people management skills and have proven people management experience.

The Package:

Salary - 40,000-50,000

Working Hours - 9am-5pm (Monday-Friday)

25 days holiday + bank holidays

The Role:

  • Ensuring that procedures and standardized work are followed and developed in-line with the objectives of the Operations Manager.
  • Driving effective and open communication through daily management meetings and monthly departmental meetings with all employees
  • Leading, driving and managing structured and continuous improvements.
  • Support new product and process introduction
  • Completion of all production documentation.
  • Actively promote, lead and manage change.
  • Promote health and safety on-site.

Requirements:

  • Must have a strong people management background.
  • Must have experience implementing change or lean manufacturing processes within an organisaiton, ideally with working knowledge of 5S and / or six sigma.
  • Must have worked for a manufacturing organization previously, ideally with experience of machining, fabrication, welding, sheet metal and related processes.
