Quality Manager, Near Kidderminster Salary up to £65k.
My client is a leading manufacturing company producing components and products for the Automotive OEMs. They are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and professional Hands On Quality Manager.
Functions: -
IATF Lead Auditor / Maintenance.
ISO14001 Lead Auditor.
Project management of new products and running changes.
Lead CFT activities.
To provide multi-skilled support to Continuous Improvement activities on both new and existing products and equipment.
Request testing of components and systems according to customer and internal requirements.
To evaluate and approve test reports according to company and external guidelines for each test performed.
To assist in purchase of new equipment and facilities as required to meet budsheet objectives.
To assist in developing test processes and procedures.
Capital and tooling budget control management.
Management of Quality Systems.
Ensuring QMS up to date, in-line with current customer and legislative requirements.
Communicating any changes to the QMS to the audit team and company in general.
Attending Management reviews.
Manage external audit activities.
Additional Responsibilities: -
To oversee and support in the manufacture or development of prototype assemblies.
To assist in the FMEA process in line with APQP process.
To support the use of team activities such as F.M.E.A / Quality Concern, Cost Reduction or Problem Solving.
To support and promote the use of Continuous Improvement activities.
With others, to ensure that all statutory regulations specific to Health & Safety and Environment standards are adhered to.
To comply with all applicable company and customer procedures.
When needed, to travel possible internationally to various customers / suppliers locations and plant sites.
Read all emails / faxes on a daily basis.
Give a timely response to any customer emails/messages etc. (max 24hrs).
To undertake any other work deemed necessary, and within the capability of the jobholder, as required by the Plant Director.
To provide customer support for product development to meet bud-sheet requirements.
Identify sourcing for new products and part of continuous improvements activities.
To design manufacture practically engineered solutions in support of new production launches.
Ensure new product introduction is managed in line with customer milestones.
Act as support to teams requesting changes to quality system.
Provide advice and lead on potential and upcoming changes in requirements of customers.
Arrange external audits in-line with requirements.
Support team during reviews of customer feedback.

Supporting qualifications
You will have proven experience in this type of role gained with the Automotive components manufacturing sector.
Experience of dealing with Automotive OEMs.
Fully conversant with modern quality systems and standard associated with the Automotive industry including IATF as well as ISO14001.
You will need to be already living in the UK with full leave to remain as sponsorship is not available.
