Key accountabilities
Based at our site in Kidderminster we are looking for a Processing Operative. The role will involve operating heavy machinery such as a decoiling / slitting Machine, fork-lift trucks and overhead cranes. The site processes thousands of tonnes of steel each week and so health and safety is a primary concern for us. As such, youll be given full training on how to operate all the machinery in our site as well as manual handling and general health and safety training.

Hours of work are 5:30am to 1:30pm Mon to Fri then 1:30pm to 10pm Mon to Thurs and 1:30pm to 7pm Friday rotating weekly. As well as the double day shift we are also recruiting for the night shift team.

The main purpose of this role:

  • Operate the Bud Profiling Line or an appropriate scheduled activity e.g. machine operation, loading, basic maintenance, TPM, 5S, or any other duties as directed. This may involve moving to another areas, machine centre, or location. All activities must be carried out in accordance with EHS, Quality & safe working practices

What youll need:
To be successful in the role you will have experience operating a profiling machine, Plasma Profiler, Press Brake, CNC Machine or similar, FLTs & overhead cranes, preferably in a manufacturing, Steel environment, warehousing or distribution. We will also expect all applicants to show a real passion for health and safety and want to be a part of continually improving our site.
