Disability Support Worker Transitioning into SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Kidderminster
Aspire Agency is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to transition into a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant role within a specialist school in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience supporting children and young people with disabilities to apply their skills in an educational setting, helping students with a range of additional learning needs.
Role Details:
* Location: Kidderminster
* Schedule: 5 days per week, term-time only
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity
* Transport: Must drive, as there is no public transport to the school
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience as a Disability Support Worker, Care Assistant, or working with individuals with physical or learning disabilities
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students in an educational environment
* Ability to assist with personal care, mobility support, and engaging students in learning activities
* Experience with Makaton, PECS, or sensory learning strategies is desirable but not essential
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
