Residential Support Worker Transitioning into SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Kidderminster
Aspire Agency is looking for an experienced Residential Support Worker to transition into a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant role within a specialist school in Kidderminster. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in residential care or support work to apply their skills in an educational setting, supporting students with special educational needs.
Role Details:
* Location: Kidderminster
* Schedule: 5 days per week, term-time only
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity
* Transport: Must drive, as there is no public transport to the school
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience as a Residential Support Worker, Care Assistant, or working with children and young people with additional needs
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students in an educational environment
* Ability to assist with personal care, behaviour support, and engaging students in learning activities
* Experience with Makaton, PECS, or sensory learning activities is desirable but not essential
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
