Job Title: SEND Support Worker
Location: Kidderminster
Position Overview:
As a SEND Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to children with SEND. You will work closely with experienced team members to create a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-on-one support to children with SEND, assisting with daily activities and routines.
*Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes learning, independence, and social interaction.
*Implement individualised support plans, ensuring that the specific needs and preferences of each child are met.
*Monitor and assess the progress of children, reporting any concerns or developments to the appropriate team members.
*Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create comprehensive support strategies.
*Maintain accurate records of activities, progress, and any incidents, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
*Engage in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting children with SEN or ASD.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Care or a related field.
-Previous experience working with children with SEND.
-Understanding of SEND, including common challenges and effective support strategies.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and colleagues.
-Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEND.
-Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
-Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of children and the environment.
