Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Support Worker Transitioning into SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Kidderminster
Aspire Agency is seeking an experienced Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Support Worker to transition into a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant role within a specialist school in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in supporting students with challenging behaviour, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, or additional learning needs to bring their expertise into an educational setting.
Role Details:
* Location: Kidderminster
* Schedule: 5 days per week, term-time only
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity
* Transport: Must drive, as there is no public transport to the school
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience working in a PRU, alternative provision, or supporting young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach to working with students who require additional support
* Happy to do Personal Care
* Experience with trauma-informed practices, restorative approaches, or de-escalation strategies is desirable
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
