Annual Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (M1 UPS2)

We are currently seeking an SEN Teacher specialising in Vocational skills to join an innovative provider of education in a recently opened ASC/SEMH school for students aged between 5-19 based in Kidderminster.


The role:
We are looking for a passionate, inspirational and engaging SEN Teacher to deliver a vocational skills curriculum that enables pupils to develop job specific or industry specific knowledge and skills to help them transition effectively to adulthood. Subject coverage may include: land based studies, outdoor and adventurous learning, Life Skills, Design and Technology, Multi-media and/or horticulture so experience delivering a wide variety of vocational opportunities for young people would be an advantage..

Experience in working with pupils with SEMH and/or ASC needs in a mainstream or specialist environment is essential.

Experience:
Essential:
  • PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
  • Experience of working in a special school environment and/or in particular with pupils with SEMH or ASC needs or significant SEND, SEMH and/or ASC teaching experience within a mainstream environment
  • Experience with Duje of Edinburgh, AQA Unit Awards, BTECand Entry Level would be an advantage.
Desirable:
  • Postgraduate diploma in SEN
  • Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs
