We are pleased to be working with a fantastic business based in Oxford City Centre that are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first step into finance, up to £28,000 + hybrid working.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices ensuring the correct nominal code is used
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and statements
  • Leading the resolution of inquiries an issues related to accounts payable from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and organised accounts payable records
  • Prepare and process weekly payment run
  • Support the Management Accountant with analysis of costs
  • Import weekly credit card transactions
  • Ensure emails, telephone calls and relevant correspondence are followed up promptly
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function

  • Previous experience OR someone looking for their first role in finance
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Good understanding of Excel (VLOOKUP's and Pivots)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
