Senior Nanoparticle Formulation Scientist

Location - Oxfordshire

The Opportunity:

Our client is a growing Life Science company based in Oxfordshire, who are currently looking to build their R&D team with the addition of a Senior Liquid Nanoparticle (LNP) Formulation Scientist. This opportunity will be a full-time role and will support the company in developing ground-breaking approaches to vaccine drug delivery.

The role:

As a Senior LNP Scientist you will be expected to compliment the existing R&D team by undertaking research projects. This will include:

  • Designs of study plans and approaches for Formulation Development
  • Invention of new LNP formulations and experience improving existing designs
  • Evaluating suitable methods and hypotheses for synthesis of new particles
  • Synthesis and analysis of Lipid Nanoparticles
  • Performing Analytical Assays
  • Reporting and presenting R&D outcomes

Suitable applicants:

Our client is looking for a team-player who can take responsible for key research projects and deliver results. As a background, suitable applicants will ideally have:

  • PhD in Biomaterials, Nanomaterials, Organic Chemistry (or similar discipline)
  • Prior industry or post-doctoral experience working in Lipid Nanoparticles Formulation
  • Good understanding of Nanoparticle Synthesis and characterisation
  • Prior experience inventing novel LNP formulations
  • Good analytical chemistry experience, including techniques such as LCMS, HPLC, DLS, TEM.
  • Able to work independently and deliver on research projects
