Senior NGS Scientist

Location - Oxfordshire

Our client is a leading provider of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experience NGS scientist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their NGS platforms.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Acting as technical lead on R&D projects for the improvement and development of assays

- Oversee project delivery, outlining practical resources, delivery criteria and milestones

- Lead the project team, providing hands-on laboratory support where needed

- Deliver project results and present data through internal and external meetings

- Ensure quality and H&S compliance throughout research (ISO13485, ISO9001, ISO27001)

Suitable applicants:

- Industry experience in commercial product development with IVD molecular biology products

- Proven experience leading commercial R&D projects, out-lining project scope and deliverables

- Educated to PhD in Genomics/Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience)

- Experience working to ISO13485 and ISO 9001

- Deep knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing

- Prior supervisor or project management experience would be beneficial
