Senior NGS Research Scientist

Location - Oxfordshire

Our client is a leading provider of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experienced NGS scientist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their NGS platforms.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Acting as technical lead on R&D projects for the improvement and development of NGS assays
  • Oversee project delivery, outlining practical resources, delivery criteria and milestones
  • Deliver project results and present data through internal and external meetings

Suitable applicants:

  • Research and/or Postdoctoral experience focussed on NGS development, including troubleshooting and validation, for commercial applications.
  • Proven experience performing R&D projects, with clear evidence of managing timelines and deliverables
  • Educated to PhD in Genomics/Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience)
  • Deep knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing
  • Good commercial acumen with understanding of product pipelines
