Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday (with deep cleaning taking place on Saturdays). Permanent days with the occasional night visit

Role Description:

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene Manager to join their Team in Oxfordshire, ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of all services provided at a bakery in the area. Providing direction to the Team, the Hygiene Manager will guide, train and support all employees on site. The ideal Hygiene Manager will ideally have a background in hygiene management and food hygiene and will be flexible to meet the needs of the business. Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a professional and proactive business relationship with all levels of client’s representatives, promoting the Company and development of services

Develop the basket of services to the client

Recruitment of the highest possible calibre of staff to fill vacancies to ensure a full compliment of staff

Deal with complaints efficiently and in a professional manner
-
Ensure that all staff are correctly attired in accordance with company and client procedures
-
Encourage safe working practices at all times and ensure that all staff have a good understanding of all duties undertaken

Ensure all employees are appropriately inducted, trained and developed
-
Ensure that all staff have the relevant PPE and that it is worn and used correctly
-
Ensure that all staff work the correct number of hours and adhere to the signing in and out procedure

Plan and allocate the work to ensure effective use of staff and equipment
-
Allocation of staff to meet service requirements, resource management and additional work

Maintain labour and material levels within agreed budget levels

Ensure that standards are consistently achieved and maintained. Carry out regular audits on standards, document failures, put in place procedures and processes to stop re-occurrence

Implement and management of Company’s Health & Safety policy. Carry out risk assessments on methods of work, use of chemicals and equipment and maintain relevant documentation

Management of the safe use of equipment/chemicals and ensure that they are fit for purpose i.e. Valid PAT Test and in good condition

Follow instructions from your Line Manager to provide flexibility required to maintain and meet the service requirements in an ever changing / evolving environment.

Maintain regular contact with the Sector Manager / Operations Manager or designate

Provide leadership, direction and support to employees

Ensure appraisals are carried out with all staff in accordance with company procedure and that any actions are carried within the agreed timescales

Develop the skill base of the hygiene team to ensure the full potential of all direct reports, including individual development plans using the company’s training department and external training consultants

Adherence to the company’s policy on equal opportunities

Adherence to the company’s policies, procedures and systems in accordance with the relevant manuals

Adherence to all Client's policies and procedures

Management of all subcontractors where required

Completion and submission of all documentation in line with agreed deadlines

Completion and authorisation of time sheets and payroll documents in accordance with company procedure

Conduct return to work interviews for all periods of sickness/absence

Conduct investigation and disciplinary meetings in line with company procedure

Carry out a complete investigation of all incidents and accidents involving machinery or equipment

Preparation of schedules of work including periodic schedules

Continual review and writing of new CICs for hygiene tasks

Maintenance of the Master Sanitisation Schedule

Always be GMP compliant and audit ready
Requirements:
-
A background in food hygiene would be ideal
-
Must be able to work the specified schedule
