Hays Marketing are pleased to be working with a local B2B/B2C organisation in their search for a Mandarin speaking Marketing Manager to be a part of their onsite Marketing team.

The role is not a typical marketing position as it is largely based on managing relationships with non UK agents and being their marketing point of contact.

The Role

  • Relationship Maintenance: Develop and implement partner engagement initiatives, including agent training sessions, incentive programmes, and digital resource hubs to enhance agent motivation and productivity. This role may require international travel to deliver in-person briefings, strategic updates, and relationship-building sessions.
  • Campaign Effectiveness Optimisation: Monitor and evaluate agent-driven marketing performance, leveraging conversion data and engagement analytics to refine messaging and campaign strategy.
  • Agent Performance Scorecard & Tiered Partnership Framework: Design and implement an agent performance scorecard, categorising agents into tiers based on booking contributions, engagement levels, and conversion performance. Use this framework to differentiate marketing support, incentives, and engagement levels, ensuring a strategic allocation of resources to high-performing agents.
  • Channel Partner Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive partner marketing strategy that increases agent engagement, brand alignment, and booking conversions.
  • Data Driven Content Development: Implement data-driven marketing strategies, leveraging insights from agent performance metrics, booking trends, and market demand to optimise campaign execution.
  • Strategic Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as a critical link between the international relationships team and other key departments (operations, business intelligence, commercial and customer experience) to ensure the smooth execution of international student acquisition and occupancy strategies.
  • Collaboration with Marketing Team: Partner with the wider marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns for international student acquisition, ensuring that campaign messaging, lead generation strategies, and promotional materials cater to the unique needs of different international student segments. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure international partner and agent strategies are reflected in global marketing efforts.

The Candidate

  • Fluent Mandarin speaker
  • Proven track record in channel marketing and partnerships, with 3-5 years of experience in a B2B marketing, partner management, or business development role.
  • Previous exposure to global markets, particularly China, India, and the Middle East, with an understanding of international student recruitment trends and regional market behaviours.
  • Hands-on experience in multichannel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content creation, email automation, and co-branded marketing initiatives.
