Commercial Lead

Are you an experienced commercial professional with a knack for negotiation and strategic leadership? We're looking for a Commercial Lead to join a high-impact team delivering complex programmes within the Government Sector.

Role Overview:

As a Commercial Lead, you will:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to ensure value-for-money outcomes.
  • Negotiate contracts and lead discussions to secure optimal terms.
  • Provide expert commercial advice to programme oversight boards.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks in a complex delivery environment.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive success.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in commercial strategy, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Analytical skills to craft compelling business cases and influence decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • MCIPS qualification (Level 3 or above) or progression toward it.
  • Contract Management Capability Programme - Expert Level certification.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of grant principles and standards.
  • Project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, MSP).
