Your new companyAs a Project Manager, you will join a social housing landlord who manages a diverse range of housing stock in order to meet the needs of thousands of tenants who live across the greater Oxford and Oxfordshire regions. Your new employer are responsible for the management of 8000 homes, working actively to improve the quality and energy efficiency of housing stock whilst addressing the affordability and availability of homes in the region. Your new roleWe are seeking a dynamic and skilled Major Works Project Manager to oversee and deliver construction projects across a social housing portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing large-scale refurbishment and redevelopment projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of both quality and safety.

  • Project management - lead and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial accountability.
  • Budget control - develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial accountability.
  • Stakeholder engagement - Liaise with residents, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.
  • Health and Safety - oversee health & safety compliance on all projects, implementing best practice and risk management strategies.
  • Contract management - oversee contracts and procurement processes, ensuring all works are delivered in line with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Reporting - provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress, risks, and performance.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you will need to have proven experience in project management within the occupied property or social housing sector. Excellent knowledge of building regulations, health & safety standards, and construction best practices will be important for this role. What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be able to take advantage of flexible working practices, including work from home with site visits. A fixed contract with duration of 12 months initially will be available, alongside a salary of £46,000 per year.
