A world-leading research center is working on developing disease-agnostic platforms with the aim of predicting disease progression.

They are looking for a Cloud Engineer who will lead the design, planning, and development of the Data Platform and work on some of the most intriguing projects, focusing on neurodegeneration and the central nervous system including (but not limited to) Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office in Headington, Oxford.

They are offering £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience with amazing benefits, including 38 days of annual leave, learning opportunities, and family care schemes.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading the design, planning and development of a data platform
  • Cost monitoring experience
  • Cloud platform engineering experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi or Ansibleabd CI/CD pipelines
  • Coding experience, ideally with Python
  • Bachelor's Degree

Desirables:

  • PhD/DPhil or Master's degree with research experience
  • Shell scripting (awk, sed, grep,etc)
  • Experience with Azure cloud is a plus
  • Interest in bioinformatics
