Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a multi-site organisation in Oxford on the recruitment of an interim Human Resources Manager. This role will look to start in December 2024, and support up until the end of March 2025, so please note that you must be immediately available or available at very short notice to be considered.

You will be based out of our client's Abingdon office but must be prepared to commute to other sites on a weekly basis. There is also the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week.

Responsibilities of the interim HR Manager will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing professional and timely HR advice to management and employees in the business.
  • Support with employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, attendance management and more.
  • Assisting with the development of People Services processes and policies, ensuring full compliance with up-to-date UK employment law and best practice.
  • Overseeing projects in areas such as learning & development, DEI, development of a HRIS system and more.
  • Deputising for the Head of HR as needed.

Your Profile:

  • Strong proven HR experience, having worked in a similar position previously.
  • A CIPD level 5/7 qualification is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience of working in the education sector is highly advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of up-to-date employment law.

In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £45-48k dependant on experience.
