Toolmaker – Injection Moulding

Location: Oxford
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)

We're looking for Experience Toolmakers or Injection Moulding Operators looking to advance their career!

We're currently looking for ambitious candidates on behalf of our client, who is a FTSE 250 global market leader in plastic injection moulded, vinyl dip moulded, and metal components.

With over 65 years of history and operations in 29 countries, they are proud supply essential components across various industries.

Due to their growing team, we are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to support a busy injection moulding tool repair workshop or Injection Moulding Operators looking for a step up in their career.

The Role

As a Toolmaker, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing injection moulding tools to ensure high-quality production and minimal downtime. You'll collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

? Build, repair, and maintain tooling to ensure high output and product quality
? Work closely with production technicians to minimize downtime
? Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues
? Support new tooling projects entering the business
? Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (CI & 5S)
? Provide updates on work status to technicians and managers
? Collaborate with the Quality team to identify and rectify product failures

Who We're Looking For:

Experience in toolmaking or precision engineering
Experience using toolroom equipment efficiently and safely
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable (But Not Essential):

? Tooling apprenticeship (preferred but not required)
? Knowledge of injection moulding (training provided if needed)
? Experience with Haas, XYZ lathe RLX control, Sodick AD35 EDM
