Assistant Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is please to present a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Town Planner to join an award-winning multidisciplinary practice in Oxford.

My client offers a range of design and planning services with specialisms in low-energy design, ecology, heritage, and arboriculture. The team are highly skilled in navigating through the complex UK planning system, from mixed-use to development sites, to small-scale projects.

They are now looking for an experienced Assistant Planner to join them working on a varied caseload across a range of urban and rural sites, from their beautiful grade 2 listed riverside studio, as part of an award-winning team!

The idea candidate will have a particular interest in working on the environmental and planning aspects of major and minor development projects and policy studies and will enjoy the prospect of developing their own client base. You will be self-assured, confident, and be a team player!

Candidate Requirements:

  • An RTPI-accredited planning qualification.
  • Either holding or working toward chartered membership of the RTPI.
  • Ideally 1-2 years planning experience.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
