Construction Solicitor (3-7 PQE) Legal 500 Law Firm - OxfordA prestigious national law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Solicitor to join its highly regarded team in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with 3-7 years of post-qualification experience to work on a range of high-profile construction projects, advising clients across multiple sectors, including education, science & technology, leisure, and infrastructure.The Role:

  • Advising on major construction projects from inception to completion, providing a "whole of life" service across a range of sectors.
  • Working with public, private, and third-sector clients, delivering expert advice on complex and innovative schemes, with a focus on procurement structures and construction contracts.
  • Extensive experience in working with all the main standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT, FIDIC, IChemE) as well as bespoke contracts and frameworks.
  • Managing both contentious and non-contentious matters, including advising on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations and modern methods of construction (MMC), such as offsite manufacture.
  • Working alongside a supportive, dynamic team, taking responsibility for your caseload, and interacting with senior partners and clients alike.

About the Candidate:

  • A strong background in construction law, ideally with experience advising on complex, high-value projects in the education, science & technology, leisure, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with the main construction contracts, including NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and IChemE, and experience advising on bespoke contracts.
  • Experience in modern methods of construction (MMC) and a keen interest in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues impacting building and infrastructure projects would be highly desirable.
  • The ability to manage a caseload efficiently, with a focus on excellent client service, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this role.
