Operations Team Leader

Your new companyYou will be working for the UK's largest newspaper distributor, who are looking for a new Operations Team Leader to join the business and help manage the night shift operation. Your new roleIn this role, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of team members to ensure the operations run seamlessly. You will monitor and evaluate performance and ensure equipment is always readily available. The team leader will facilitate the relationship between operatives and management, track overtime and attendance while monitoring and driving efficiencies and training requirements. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need experience in warehouse team management and be able to demonstrate the flexibility to undertake a variety of warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a positive and effective approach when working with commercial drivers. There will also be some requirement to drive a 3.5 tonne delivery van to customer sites. What you'll get in returnFor this role you will receive a permanent contract alongside an annual salary of £29,600. This will be on-site each night-Saturday to Wednesday from 01:30am to 10:00am.
