Maintenance Engineer Location: Oxford

Salary: Up to £45k + 15% Shift Premium + 25% Nights premium | Permanent Nights: £56k

Working Hours:

  • 3 week rotational shift 6:00 AM 2:00 PM & 2:00 PM 10:00 PM & 10:30 PM 6:30 AM

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineerto join our dynamic and progressive business within the manufacturing sector. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production lines through both reactive and planned maintenance, along with the opportunity to manage a small team.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance within a production environment
  • Fault-finding and troubleshooting on PLCs and machinery
  • Undertake reactive breakdown maintenance and preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Lead a small team, managing day-to-day operations and taking on key responsibilities in decision-making
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency

Ideal Candidate for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or production setting
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with PLCs and troubleshooting
  • Previous team leadership experience would be a distinct advantage
