This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to work on exciting projects within a dynamic team.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
  • Experience in mechanical design, preferably within manufacturing, machinery, or product development.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
  • Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, and machining processes.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and tolerances.
  • Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
  • Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
  • Producing detailed engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation.
  • Generating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing.
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure designs meet technical and project requirements.
  • Conducting design reviews and making necessary modifications to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Assisting with prototype development, testing, and validation.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
