The Role: Principal Design Engineer

  • Actively contribute to design projects, including developing project plans, preparing specifications, and creating 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Perform verification activities, engaging with subcontractors and customers to ensure excellence in design and functionality.
  • Produce parts lists and bills of materials, and support the production team with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting, particularly for new product introductions.
  • Lead design reviews, and be the technical voice for mechanical engineering.

The Candidate: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The ideal candidate will consider themselves a proactive person who looks for solutions to problems, and will have most of the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in mechanical design in a role such as Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Senior Design Engineer
  • Qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience using Solidworks, Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo or a similar package
  • Ability to think of your feet
  • Confident in voicing your opinions and ideas, both within the team and to other departments
