Outreach tutors - Oxfordshire

Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements or who are unable to be in mainstream school. he children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN Tutors / SEN Teachers / Teachers / Tutors / HLTA's.

We are currently recruiting for KS2-KS4 teachers / tutors to provide provision to a various students based all across Oxfordshire. Support in core subjects (Math, English and ideally Science) required. These students have various needs including SEMH needs, EBSA, school refusers, ASD, ADHD and more - previous SEMH experience is preferred.

  • Location - mutliple locations across Oxfordshire
  • Position - 1:1 Tutor
  • Start date - ASAP
  • End date - Ongoing
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Typical Hours - 2-3 hours per student - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday) - most tutors work with 2-3 students daily, so up to 35 hours weekly on offer
  • Rate of pay - from £25 per hour for unqualifued tutors. Up to £35 per hour for Teachers with QTS
  • Term Time Only
  • During School Hours Only

We are looking for candidates who are:-

  • Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
  • Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
  • Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASD/EBSA + more
  • Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
  • Prepared to work face to face within the community or family home.

Requirements

  • Background teaching in English, Maths or SEN classes
  • QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
  • Experience working with SEMH/ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
  • 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
