Fraser Carver recruitment are working with a reputable financial technology company on the outskirts of Oxford who are looking to hire an additional Product Manager into the business. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a start-up Tech company, FinTech or Financial Services business.

Role overview:

  • Reporting to the Product Lead, the Product Manager will join an established Product & UX team.
  • You’ll take full ownership of a suite of products and features, driving them from concept to delivery. Using data insights, customer research, and a lean-startup mindset, you’ll identify and solve real problems, ensuring our products evolve from good to great.
  • We're looking for someone with strong product instincts who thrives in a hands-on role, collaborating cross-functionally to unpack challenges and develop impactful solutions for both customers and the business.
  • As a small but dynamic team, you’ll be involved in every aspect of the product development cycle—from identifying opportunities and facilitating research to working closely with BAs and engineers and executing go-to-market plans.

Main responsibilities:

  • Devise and execute the feature roadmap you have set up with the team, to reach the North Star for your feature and related product(s) with key metrics of success.
  • Collaborate with your Product colleagues on complex dependencies across teams and work though a path to success.
  • Work with Data, UX, Research to gain insight on problems to solve that add value
  • Work with various stakeholders including engineering, commercial (marketing, sales), operations, finance, legal and security to build out the solution, proposition and pricing strategies.
  • Seek out areas of opportunity with partners and work with commercial on contracts.
  • Manage ambitious standards across the team, so that we create an excellent user experience and continually grow.
  • Active in understanding the P&L of your product and the part it financially plays in the organisation.

Skills / Experience required:

  • Ability to walk in the shoes of the customer, empathise and understand their 'jobs to be done’
  • Proactive with looking to find problems worth solving, facilitating decision making processes, and making recommendations based on data insights.
  • A strong communicator - able to adapt your style to your audience and actively listen.
  • Pragmatic in making value-based prioritisation calls and managing competing priorities
  • Understanding and practical experience of Product Management Frameworks, User-centred design and Agile Delivery methodologies
  • Assertive, yet diplomatic with a focus on action, collaboration, and optimism.
  • Empathetic - able to use humility to build the best for the organisation.
  • Ready to roll sleeves up and get 'stuck in’ where needs be.

Work arrangement:

  • You will be required to be in the offices one day per week just outside of Oxford so you must be within commutable distance to be considered for this role.
