We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Oxfordshire, who are recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, and the role is 30.00 hours Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm (with an hour’s lunch break).

The hourly rate of pay is up to £18.90 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing support to those aged 55+ within a scheme-based setting, have an Enhanced DBS dated within the last three years, and have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a sheltered scheme consisting of 38 flats, providing support to customers aged 55+
  • Completing regular welfare checks on residents
  • Responsible for monitoring the health and safety across the building
  • Updating wellbeing plans as required and ensuring they are tailored to individual customer needs
  • Completing pull-cord equipment checks
  • Arranging resident activities across the scheme and encouraging tenant participation (e.g coffee mornings)
  • Ensuring safeguarding is adhered to at all times
  • Signposting customers to external agencies - e.g Social Workers
  • Logging repairs and following these up with contractors
  • Completing regular property inspections and updating records accurately

Experience required:

  • Experience working with customers within a scheme-based setting
  • Exposure working in a supported/temporary accommodation
  • Experience in completing health and safety checks

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and wellbeing plans
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident in liaising with external agencies such as social services

Working hours:

  • 30 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm (with an hour’s lunch break)
