Regional Sales Manager

Location: West of the UK, including Wales and Ireland

Manpower Engineering is recruiting for an industry leader in optical systems and precision engineering. We're seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to join our client's team, specialising in the Microscopy Solutions. You'll play a key role in managing a team of Field Service Engineers, Technical Product Specialists, and Technical Support Engineers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and team performance.

Principal Purpose
To manage and lead a team of regional engineers, ensuring customer needs are met, team KPIs are achieved, and the team remains up-to-date with training on the latest technology. The role involves regular site visits to customers, driving a 'Remote First' ethos, and contributing to the implementation of the next-gen CRM system.

Principal Responsibilities of the Regional Sales Manager

  • Manage a team of Field Service Engineers, Technical Product Specialists, and Technical Support Engineers.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, ensuring adherence to KPIs and resolving escalations up to £25,000.
  • Lead the rollout of SalesForce CRM, ensuring team readiness for Go-Live in Spring 2025.
  • Conduct regular appraisals, manage training needs, and support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain stock levels to ensure minimal disruption while managing costs.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all operations.
  • Foster motivation, teamwork, and ensure strong communication across the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and KPIs.
  • Experience with customer escalations and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, ideally SalesForce.
  • Willingness to travel across the region, including Wales and Ireland, with some international travel required.
