Family Solutions Senior Social Worker

Oxfordshire County Council are looking to expand their current team. The Family Solutions team is looking for an Senior Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills and potential progression within your team. This Family Solutions Senior Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Family Solutions Senior Social Worker Responsibilities Include:

  • Ability to support Social Workers to undertake complex social work assessments
  • Experience of formulating support, protection and care plans
  • Ability to negotiate with colleagues and partner agencies to resolve differences of opinion
  • Ability to build effective, long lasting relationships with a range of service providers both from statutory and voluntary agencies
  • Detailed knowledge of the Children's Act 1989
  • Detailed knowledge of the "Framework for the Assessment of Children and Their Families"
  • Attending court and giving evidence when required
  • Initiating and implementing child protection plans
  • Managing packages of care
  • Undertaking parenting and risk assessments

Requirements / Experience preferred:

  • Post qualifying experience of working as a Integrated Pathways Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
  • HCPC Registration
  • 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
