Software Manager - South Oxfordshire

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Software Manager to lead and inspire a teams of talent engineers and sales professionals. In this role, you will be the driving force for technical excellence, oversee the profit and loss, and spearhead the operational strategy of the groups newest tech division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage teams whilst fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, and Development to align technical efforts with business objectives.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for software development, code quality, and agile methodologies.
  • Monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding new engineering team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Software Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong background in software development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and scalable architectures.
  • Strong experience in technical sales - working with software/solution sales.
  • Proven experience working with software for project and integrated management.
  • Solid understanding of agile development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop technical and sales talent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Software Development principles and best practices.
  • Hold a Bachelors or Master's Degree in a technical or relevant discipline.
