Apply to this Learning Support Assistant role. A welcoming mainstream primary school in North Leigh, W. Oxfordshire is seeking a skilled and dedicated Experienced LSA (Learning Support Assistant) to join their team. While the primary focus will be on supporting Year 2 & Year 3 students, there is flexibility to work across other year groups and key stages based on school needs.

As an Experienced LSA, you will:

  • Assist Year 2 & Year 3 teachers in preparing materials and resources for lessons.
  • Set up classrooms to support cross-curricular and engaging learning activities.
  • Work with 1:1 students or small groups, providing tailored support to meet their unique needs.
  • Observe, record, and report on student progress, sharing insights with the class teacher.
  • Provide care and attention to children's well-being, supporting those who may be upset or unwell while ensuring safeguarding practices are upheld.
  • Lead small-group activities and lessons under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Build strong relationships with families and carers to foster a collaborative approach to student development.

If you hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification, there's potential to expand the role to include other North Leigh, W. Oxfordshire class cover, offering a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and experience further.

Qualifications and Requirements - Experienced LSA:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent (preferred).
  • HLTA certification (preferred).

  • SEN knowledge or certifications (highly desirable).
  • Driving licence (preferred for commuting convenience to North Leigh, W. Oxfordshire from Carterton, Witney and Faringdon).
